The Best Japanese Celebrity Plastic Surgeries
You've seen them in movies, on television and in interviews. You thought they were hot. But did you know what they really looked like underneath all that plaster? If not, then here is a head's up to what's hiding underneath all those pretty faces. Here are some of the worst (best) plastic surgeries that we know of among Japanese celebrities. Well, without any further intro let's see the ladies.<--!break-->
Ito Before and After9. Ito Misaki
You probably know her from either her appearance in the TV series Densha Otoko as the lovely Hermes-Chan. If you missed Densha Otoko then you've still had plenty of other chances to see her in commercials for Shiseido, Vodafone and Choya. While her plastic surgery wasn't too much of a change it still made it into our list at number nine.
Chiaki Before and After8. Kuriyama Chiaki
Probably best known among foreigners for her role in Kill Bill Volume 1. However Chiaka-chan became a widespread name in Japan years before Kill Bill with her roles in The Juon and Battle Royal. For Chiaki-chan, celebrity status came at a price and as you can see her she needed a healthy dose of nip and tuck to claim her stake in Japanese cinema.
7. Goto Maki 後藤真希 (Picture coming later)
In 1999 Maki Goto was selected as the only member for the 3rd generation of Morning Musume, joining just in time for the groups first single to sell over a million copies, Love Machine. During her time in Morning Musume she was one of the founding members of Pucchi Moni and she started a solo singing career in 2001 with the single "Ai no Bakayarō" (愛のバカやろう, "Ai no Bakayarō"?).
Koyuki Before and After6. Koyuki
Most foreigners are probably unfamiliar with the name "Koyuki". However, if they see her picture then they will immediately recognize her as "the chick from The Last Samurai". In Japan, Koyuki can be seen quite often in commercials for plasma televisions and SKII cosmetics.
If you are one of the few who thinks that Koyuki is a modern day "Yamatona deshiko" then I suggest you take a good look at her pictures before her amazing plastic surgery. Her surgeon was a true genius!
Ebi Before and After5. Ebi-chan
I could write an entire book about Ebi-chan. No acting skills whatsoever and badly in need of a new hairstyle, Ebi-chan is one of the most popular models in Japan today. Littering the tube with commercials for Shiseido and McDonalds you can hear Ebi-chan show off her talent with lines like "ah! Goma!" or "abunai me shiteru". Like many others, Ebi-chan's beauty is only skin deep and as you can see it took a lot of skill and make-up to create this idealistic model of Kawaii.
4. Matsushima Nanako 松嶋 菜々子 (Picture coming later)
One of the highest paid actresses in Japan and also one of the worst (best) plastic surgeries. Matsushima Nanako is well known for appearing in movies such as The Ring and the television series Yamatona Deshiko. All I can say is that her surgeon must have had a black belt.
Yuka Before and After
3. Yuka-chan
Like so many other Japanese celebrities, Yuka-chan started as a Gruvia Idol. If you aren't very familiar with Gruvia Idols, they are basically the girls with big boobs, wearing bikinis and giving creepy Japanese men something to look at in convenience stores. Personally I used to think that Yuka-chan was a pretty girl with a great smile before I saw how fake that face really was. This is the real Yuka.
2. Ayumi Hamasaki(coming later)
This plastic surgeon deserves the nobel prize for his work on Ayumi Hamasaki. Not only did Ayumi Hamasaki have a horrific face but she was also quite overweight. Let this be a lesson to all of us that with enough money you can be as beautiful as you want to be.
Moe Before and After1. Moe-chan
This is the mother of all plastic surgeries!!! The power of cosmetic surgery is a scary thing! Belonging to the same agency as many other top Japanese models including Ebi-chan, Yamada Yu and Hitomi, Moe-chan is arguably Japan's most popular model today. While having a face that is no better than your average Japanese girl walking around in Shibuya, Moe-chan's biggest asset is her legs.
Unfortunately, her face was much worse before her plastic makeover. Looking at the before picture it would not be surprising to hear that Moe-chan never turned a single head before her surgeon went to work on that face.

Call me crazy, but I really don't see much change in these women between their before and after photos. Granted, some of them have had dramatic changes in makeup styles, or simply grow up (the "before" photos of koyuki and ebi-chan look like junior high school pix), I don't notice anything in these photos in particular that makes me gasp in horror at the deseption that's been put upon us all.
