Genki Ippai Ramen
One of my personal favorites Genki Ippai is that sort of place that doesn't look very appealing on the outside but once you've eaten there you keep coming back because the food is so good. If you have ever been to Waffle House in the United States then you will feel at home at Genki Ippai. Like Waffle House the employees of Genki Ippai have their own language and are constantly shouting out and confirming orders in a barely understandable language. For me the usual dish is the kara-genki ramen. Kara stands for karai in Japanese which means spicy. The ramen is a dark orange flavor and is full of flavor. Their prices are reasonable too. You can get a large bowl of ramen for around 700 yen. When I first started dating my girlfriend I was afraid to take her to Genki Ippai because it is usually only frequented by young guys and salarymen and because it's not the date sort of environment but once I finally did take her I was so glad because now she always wants to go. If you would like to check out their Japanese homepage (they have a map of where they are located and coupons to print for free gyoza) the please visit here
